The Course Directors and Program Committee, constituted by Professors Davor Miličić (Zagreb, Croatia) and Aladár Rónaszéki (Budapest. Hungary) are pleased to invite you to join the 5th edition of the European Cardiology Conference for General Practitioners that will be held from May 7-9, 2010 at the Excelsior Hotel in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Exchanges among European Colleagues
The 5th ECCGP will be the event for General Practitioners, Family Physicians and Cardiologists to meet and to exchange their experiences with European colleagues and to discuss with internationally recognized Experts.

Focus on CVD in the Female Patient
Keeping the patient always in the center of interest, this special edition will focus on hypertension and cardiovascular diseases (CVD) in the female patient and will offer physicians with different backgrounds the opportunity to get updated on latest scientific developments in their own specialty, as in other correlated fields.

Educational objectives
For the 5th ECCGP the following primary academic and practical educational objectives have been defined:
• to inform participants about the latest scientific advances in the field of cardiology;
• to focus on new and emerging interventional and medial therapies;
• to assess and to improve the clinical implications of primary and secondary prevention;
• to debate the impact and feasibility of risk factor management in daily practice;
• to assess and to improve diagnostic aspects;
• to allow participants meeting and discussing with international experts on (controversial) issues and challenges related to their daily practice;
• to stimulate interdisciplinary exchanges and exchanges among PCPs of different countries.
